Bald like an eagle, baby
gidget: what is there to say? i mean, i don't really care about Britney or what she does, but this is an interesting grab for attention. Reportedly, britney went to a salon to get her hair shaved. The stylist refused thinking Britney would regret the decision. Britney then took the shaver and did the deed her self. She followed her day at the salon with a visit to a tattoo parlor to get inked. Now the tattoo artist is claiming that Britney was rather emotional during the tattoo, wiggling and making it difficult to tattoo her. Well, that could just be 'cause getting a tattoo can hurt. But the hair, the hair.
Many of us have thought about shaving our heads, and there is nothing wrong with it. Bald is beautiful just like hair is beautiful. You know, individual beauty and all that jazz. But it just seems britney does things without thinking about them (hello, marriage in Vegas) like a teenager. The stunt reminds me of something a 16/17 year old would do. Then again, maybe she watched V for Vendetta and was really inspired By Natalie Portman. Or, maybe she just watch Empire Records, or was listening to Sinead O'Connor. See beautiful bald women are everywhere. I wonder what er tattoo's are of. Perhaps more fairies. Oh, such a classic design.

Sharon Stone is crazy

gidget: Ummm..she is really odd. She makes me uncomfortable. I am afraid she is going to call balls out mad one day. Like, start attacking people or something. Just yesterday someone was telling me how much they admire Sharon Stone because she is so intelligent. Ummm, ok, good luck with that admiration. There is also footage of her calling Richard Gere an a**hole while he is playing piano at the end of the auction. Oh yeah, and this auction is for peace y'all.

Two Posts in one day, scandalous

gidget: in line at grocery store and saw this cover staring at me between Soap Opera Weekly and US weekly. just had to share the loveliness!

This is not about Justin!
gidget: I have been thinking about the grammys, and that competition to sing with Justin Timberlake. I have to say that it is a crazy cool idea. But, here are the problems with it...or, better yet, how it could have been better: 1. The contest should have only been for Justin fans. Like, people who are in his fanclub. Come on, no one deserves to sing with Justin more than a real fan. 2. No American Idol wannabes. We already have American Idol, why does there have to be a grammy edition? Wait, aren't the grammys already american idolified? Freakin' Carrie Undewood was on. Enough said. 3. This ties in with two, look for people who have unique, interesting voices. talent that American Idol would pass on. Still, props to the girl that won. It must have been incredible for her. And props to the other two losers. Not that i think they are losers, but you can only have one number 1. two would make 11. You can check the gammy performance here

T.I. looks amazing!

In other news, Robbie Williams has entered rehab for dependency on prescription drugs. Poor robbie. i hope he feels better soon. He has been battling depression for some time, and has openly discussed it on the BBC. it makes me sad that robbie is sad, he seems like a sweetheart deep down. that's not really based on anyhing, i just like to think that he is a sweetheart.

It will be mine. Oh, it will be mine.
gidget: sweet baby jeebus. M by Madonna for H&M is going to make me flat broke. Broke i tells ya. I must have this dress! I just must. I am in love.

Brilliant! Bloody Brilliant!
gidget: this is so hilarious. Verizon and Rolling Stone threw some sort of bash for JT in L.A. I suppose it was a preGrammy shindig. Boring right? Oh no, someone let Kevin Federline into the party. And it gets better, K Fed went up to Justin on the Red Carpet and gave him a hug. I am sure it was to congratulate Justin on his successes and such. Props to Kevin for not only going to the party, but forcing Justin to give him a manhug on the red carpet. Brilliant.
Look at Justin's face. Hehehe..it gets better....
go kevin and Jt, sharing the love.
major props to the photographer who captured these amazing moments on the red carpet.
source of photos: www.getty-images.com

This would seem to be enough humour for one day, but it gets better. The Directors Cut of JT's new vid with ScarJo. OMG! It is horrid. Just horrid. So cheesy, but trying desperatly to be serious. Justin, you can not act. you just can't. Also shows off the amazing lack of acting talent scarjo has. I can see why he cast her, if he had someone opposite him that could act it would be too obvious as to how pathetic the whole attempt at 'art' the video is. It's so bad. watch for yourself. You know, he had it right with Cry Me A River, and it just has never been as good since.

p.s. remind me to stop posting so much about Justin. it' s slightly ridiculous on my part.

Rest In Peace Anna Nicole Smith!
gidget: i have to admit that when i heard the news about Anna Nicole's passing yesterday it made me sad. Poor Anna, the last couple of months seemed to have been so hard for her.
rest in peace anna nicole.
Jem: I feel the same way, Gidget. I mean, her son just died right after having another baby. And then, all these guys were claiming to be the father. She was struggling with court battles and bad press. I think ANS probably had a really sad, sad life.
Now there's probably going to be a huge battle over who gets all her money.
I can't believe how much CNN is covering it. Get a life CNN, you smell!

gidget: So, JT is a busy boy. As everyone on earth knows, JT and Jessica B. were said to have hooked up at The Sundance Festival. Some gossipers are now claiming that JT is juggling Jessica B. and Alyssia 'who's the boss' Milano. Now it is being speculated that he is still spending time with Scar Jo. Now, this just might be imagination running wild, or JT is loving the single life. Makes you wonder if JT did cheat on Cameron and that is why they broke up. Having recently seen JT in concert I can honestly say maybe the boy should be spending more time on putting on a great show as oppposed to a "meh, it was good i guess" show. Yeah, that's right, you ain't king of nothing JT. Oh, and if you would stop acting (in films that is) that would be great!

C-O-O-L R-I-D-E-R

gidget: Who would have known that this past weekend would be as great as the weekend before last?! It all started with me wanting to watch Grease 2. I only had a old VHS copy that was sorta broken. I had to rent it, too bad that no video store in my neighbourhood had the film. How could this be?! It is a classic. Stupid Ottawa - Ruining my Life! Feeling defeated, Jem and I braved the weather to attempt to find a movie to rent that might be able to match the awesomeness of Grease 2 and Breakin'. Yes, I know, it seems like we set ourselves out for disappointment. While scanning the dvd titles and covers I suddenly came upon the glory of 'Roller Boogie'. I was sold, but decided to still read the back cover, and do you know what it said? The movie was "Love on Wheels". Showed Jem the movie and we rented it. OMG! It was one of the best movies everrrrr!!!!!!!! Linda Blair rollerskating. Amazing. Any movie that features the song "Boogie Wonderland" is awesome, but this movie features rollerskating and love. Two things that obviously go together. The film came out in 1979 and stars Linda Blair and Ray Bray. Ray was originally cast to be a stuntman for the film as he had won over 270 rollerskating trophies. The producers could not find the perfect lead and Ray was cast as Bobby James the rollerskating hottie (Come on, you can already tell it is amazing by the simple fact that the leads name is Bobby James). Originally David Kennedy was cast in the lead. But, here's the gossip, Blair and Kennedy had an off-screen romance and had broken-up. Kennedy was then canned from the film!Good thing, Ray Bray is soooooo good. Seriously, i have fallen in mad crush mode with this movie!
You would think that would be enough to make the best weekend ever, but oh no, it gets better. Jem and I could not give up on our dream of watching Grease 2 before January was over. So, we were on a quest. I
will spare you all the details, but there were judgy wudgy looks, and people attempting to tell us the masterpiece was not on dvd. But, we knew otherwise and trakced down a copy for sale. That's right, we spent Sunday afternoon listening to such classic tracks as "Lets Bowl", "C-O-O-L R-I-D-E-R", and "Reproduction". "We're gonna scooore tonight. we're gonna rock, we're gonna roll, we're gonna bop, we're gonna BOWL". It was perfect.
Now all I have to do is find my own c-o-o-l r-i-d-e-r who rollerskates and fights crime! That's not asking too much, is it?
Jem: Hee hee! Just seeing the pics from "Roller Boogie" is making me grin like an idiot. I've told every single person I know about "Roller Boogie" and it's amazing awesomeness. To quote Gidget, "It's the absolute ultimate!"
Our movie quest this weekend was an arduous task but the juice was defnitely worth the squeeze.
I didn't know that such greatness could even exist on film. It was pure fun, fun, fun! And fun movies are, apparently, impossible to find in Ottawa! And, if you're looking for a fun movie and decide to ask someone to recommend something to you, be prepared for a suggestion so out of left field, it leaves you speechless.
Why don't you, dear reader, ask Gidget and I for some movie suggestions? Like, if it's a first date, or a girl's night, or if you just broke up with your boyfriend. Or, if you want to lose your virginity and learn how to surf but people tell you that girls CAN'T surf...what movie do you watch? Well, Gidget and Jem have the answer!
p.s. Grease 2 was sooo great! I have always loved it, but I forgot how much I loved it! It is such a great movie! And it works, in spite of itself!
I need a C-O-O-L R-I-D-E-R!

Dress You Up!
gidget: Here is a sneak peak at Madonna's M by Madonna clothing line for H&M. It looks amazing. The glasses, the bag, the coat...i want it all. I don't even shop at H&M, but I think I will purchase so
me M by Madonna.
I love the glasses, and how they make an M on the side. I am fairly certain I would look like a fool in them, but I am going to try them out when the line is released into stores. You never know, maybe they will look brilliant on me.

Time Goes By So Slowly
gidget: In 6 days Madonna's Confessions Tour dvd and live cd will be released! So excited. I know that I have watched the NBC special over and over again, but now I get to see the whole show, from start to finish, again. Luckystar! I can not wait to see Luckystar again. Stupid NBC cutting out Luckystar. Here is a trailor for the dvd.

i heart cloud!

We Don't Need Another Hero......or do we?
gidget: Monday night has got to be the best tv night of the week. Thanks to Global I can watch Prison Break, Heroes, and 24. I wasn't into Prison Break last season, but I did get caught up in the Season Premiere. Heroes had a pretty good start. Neither one comes close to the 24 Season openers. I didn't even like 24 before, but when Keifer goes all lost boys and kills a dude by biting him in the neck, you know I am sold. Plus, 24 has the incredibly handsome Alexander Siddig this season. How can I not watch? I love how Monday night is all about super action, and heroes out to save the world. Maybe Tina Turner was wrong and we do need another hero or two. Especially when they look like Milo Ventimiglia (peter on heroes. Also from gilmour girls fame, but i don't watch that show) and Sendhil Ramamurthy (mohinder suresh on heroes). Ofcourse no hero comes close to the power of bauer on 24, but i don't think Keifer is that cute. I know a lot of people do, just not me. I can see why people think he is cute when he is out to save the world every monday night.

You Got To Break It to Make It!
gidget: Ugh. Sometimes i hate celebrities. Cameron Diaz has been seen spending a lot of time with Surf legend Kelly Slater. She is even lucky enough to have private surf lessons. Must be nice. Hmmm... i need some surf lessons. I know i will wear my smallest bikini and call up Kelly Slater. I am sure he has some great tips to share! At least Cameron is spending time with a man that is her age. Not that i'm all 'you can only
date people that are roughly the same age as you'.
Justin is currently attending the Sundance film festival. He was also seen hanging out with his mom after one of his shows in Las Vegas. That's pretty sweet. Moms are awesome.

Electric Boogaloogidget: this weekend Jem and I had a film fest that included Breakin' and Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. Ahhh, memories. I loved those movies when i was a little kid, and still love them today! So good. Shabba Doo ( who plays Ozone) is one of the original lockers. And, he was a dancer and choreographer for Madonna during her Who's That Girl tour. Ice Tea is also amazing in Breakin' and Breakin'2.

And The Winner Is.....drumroll

gidget: Every celebrity break-up has a winner and a loser. One person comes out winning the hearts of the public, and a little sympathy. The other person either seems crazy, or like a jerk, maybe both. Well, it seems that the gossipers would like to make out Cameron Diaz out as the loser in the Timberlake/Diaz break-up. It seems that Cameron is a little bit of a jealous girl. At a Golden Globes after party she was reportedly seen freakin' out on Jessica Biel after she saw JT flirting with the former 7th heaven actress. Why Cameron decided to flip out on Biel is beyond me. Biel is still linked with Derek Jeter. Plus, JT would flirt with a brickwall, he's a former boy band member, they are bred to do that. That's why i don't know if i buy the story. It is also being reported that Ms. Diaz and Mr. Timberlake had an unpleasant exchange of words at Prince's Golden Globes afterparty. I still believe Justin and Cameron broke-up 'cause Cameron never wants to get married. Yes, i know that is reportedly that Cameron and JT brok-up 'cause Jt cast scarlett johansson in his next video and Diaz hates her. Please, that's not a real reason. Ah who cares, Justin ain't even that cute anymore. T.I is the gorgeous one!
Do yourself a favor and watch the Justin 'My Love' video. skip to the T.I. part.
Jem: I totally know what you mean, Gidget! Justin is sooo not cute anymore. What is up with that? I didn't realize how not cute he is until I saw an old JT video. "Like I love you". He looked so super cute in that one. Now, he looks like he's been living life...hard! My guess is that he's been doing a lot of drugs and drinking...trying to keep up with Pharell and Three Six Mafia.
Justin looks like someone's Grandpa.
And he and Cameron totally broke up because he wants to get married and she doesn't. It's completely obvious.

Ultimate Kylie!
gidget: For Christmas a certain Bff got me the Ultimate Kylie dvd. Not only is it amazing because it has all of Kylie's videos on it, it also features on-screen lyrics. The lyrics do not only show-up on screen like subtitles, they light up like a karaoke video.
That's right, it's a Kylie karaoke party! Everyone should realize that this is wicked awesome. Unless you are one of those people who does not 'Do' karaoke. Maybe you will go out for karaoke when your friends go and just sit there. You don't cheer, or sing along. You never take the mic yourself. You refuse to play karaoke revolution. If that is the case you must be related to Victoria Beckhman and be part robot.

Fun. what is fun?
Fun does not compute.
I will just stand here and look
bored. I will try to smile.

Kylie is also going to release a dvd and cd of her Homecoming tour. The dvd is going to feature the night when surprise guest Bono joined kylie on stage. They are singing the song Kids.Love the cat outfit! meow. While I love that bono joined kylie onstage, a part of my heart wishes Robbie did. Robbie is just too cute. Mmm...and a great voice. Who doesn't like Robbie? Even just a little bit. He's adorable in a 'i'm silly' sorta way. Whatever. I am not going to argue resons why Robbie is great. What?! I like his music too. Yeah, that's right, even that super cheese song 'Angels'. Maybe I sing it in the car really loud and offkey. Love it.

The Rules
Jem: Okay! I don't know how it's possible, but there are some people out there who don't know how to play the celebrity husband game. How have they lived their lives up to this point?
I guess it makes sense that the rules would vary but Gidget and I have perfected the game and honed the rules over the course of our friendship.
  1. Rule#1: Celebrities must be alive. This allows the players of the game to entertain fantasies of ACTUALLY being married to their desired celeb. Besides, who wants to be married to, or date, a dead person? True, there have been many, many dreamy men throughout history but who could pick among them? Rule #1 allows the players of the game to pick a guy without getting completely overwhelmed.

Rule# 2: Celebrities must be single. Again, this helps with the weeding out of cute celebs. Also, it allows players of the game to feel as though if they were to meet their intendeds, nothing would stand in their way. This rule can often be difficult to accept. My heart has been broken at least six times because of the aforementioned rule, but what is life (or games) without rules to which we must all adhere.

Dating does not count as married. Neither does engaged.

In cases where you don't know if your celebrity husband is married or not, ignorance is bliss. It's better not to know. If you don't know, he's not married.

*note* I pick such yummy, nice boys as my hubbies, that they are quick to settle down.

Rule# 3: When your celeb gets married, you must move on. See Rule# 2.
Rule#4: You cannot be married to the same celeb as your BFF. Much like real life, there is an all-important code that must be lived up to. You can't date the same guy as your BFF, you can't marry the same guy as your BFF (fantasy or not).
This does not mean that if some random girl, or a friend of a friend, likes your man, that he is no longer your man. You are under no obligation to random girls. He is YOUR man! If one of your friends liked a celeb before you even thought he was cute, back off and go find your own husband! Being the other woman is never nice!

Rule# 5: Don't be afraid to dump your husband if he does, or says, something you don't like. Unlike real husbands, celebs can be changed as often as your socks, if you like.

Dreamy McDreamerson

Jem: I'd like to introduce you to my celebrity husband, Richard Armitage.

I think I'm in love with him. I certainly love the character he plays in North and South, Mr. Thornton. But, I've seen him in interviews, too!

He makes me sad that I live in Canada and not in England. It seems unlikely that I'll bump into him at the Parliament buildings one afternoon, doesn't it?

He's 35, never been married, and GORGEOUS!!!! And, he did a reading on a BBC kids show...so cute!

I just love his beautiful face, and kissable lips, and accent.

I guess I just think that version of Richard Armitage that exists in my mind and myself would make a great couple. He seems really funny and sweet but not too silly. He could definitely handle ME being silly, which is key! All the interviews I've seen of Rich have just made me swoon with delight.

Ok, I'm starting to get a bit embarrassed by freely admitting how much I'm crushing on this guy. But, I guess I should feel good about the anonymity of the internet.

*Ahem* If you, dear reader, happen to be Richard Armitage, and are not completely freaked out by this post, then send me a message. And, if you think I'm crazy, you should see this video of you on MySpace...now THAT girl should be embarrassed. I'm just sorry I didn't think of it first!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYOIauOw_jM

Ok, well, that was my love letter to Richard. Feel free to comment and tell Gidget and myself about YOUR celebrity husband or boyfriend...you know you have one.

gidget: Celebrity bf's, how i love them. I know a girl who has celebrity bf's that are dead academics. Like, an academc isn't even a celebrity(well, i guess some of them are. But they are more a quasi-celebrity). Now that is weird.

Yumm Me!

gidget: Roar, Daniel Craig is foxy in a photo from Italian Vanity Fair. Love the scruffy face.

Oh, time for some gossip! Jason from Laguna/The Hills fame is dating Nicki from Laguna season 3. Why would anyone date jason? Hmm...actually Jason and nicki make sense.

He is so not cute! I don't get it.

In more Laguna gossip, Talan is said to be dating the main pussycat doll. Ok, that picture to the right could be of anyone. I will have to see more evidence to believe that. Then again, he was linked with Lindsay Lohan, for like, a day. But who hasn't been linke
d with L. Lo.

Jem: Holy crap! Daniel Craig is ridiculously HOT! In that pic, Gidge! Mommy likes!

As for the Laguna gossip, I can't believe that girls continue to date Jason but, girls are kind of dumb when it comes to boys. They're convinced that, despite all the shitty things they have done to girls in the past, that with them, it'll be different. So naive.

And, you're right about that picture being of anyone because I thought it was Nicki, not Nicole from PCD. Did you know that she's going solo (like she wasn't already solo)? and that they're having a reality show to find a new Pussycat Doll? Gawd, they're a stupid group of strippers!

You know what my dad thought about that "Buttons" video: he said that if they had shown stuff like that when he was a kid, he would have gone around raping girls. Gross, I know! But it makes you think!

I'm not saying that I think girls who dress skankily deserve to be raped or even put-down (my dad's not saying that, either). But does dressing that way actually make you a liberated woman? I certainly don't know because I've never dressed like a PussyCat Doll in my life.

Know who I liked in Laguna 3? (Besides Jessica) Rocky and Alex. I thought it was sweet how they got back together. And, let's face it, their relationship was the most realistic. In fact, I just heard a story about how this guy broke up with his gf (he said it was mutual but come on!) because she was crazy. He recently went to the bar and she was there with another guy. He called her a slut behind her back. Un-freakin-believable!

Speaking of Jessica, Let’s Go Travel Guides hired her to be a spokesperson. She went to London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin in March 2006, and posted daily entries and photos on her blog at http://www.letsgojessica.com. How lucky is she?

Also, did you know that Kyndra didn't even go to LBHS during Season 3? They neglected to mention that she was home-schooled. No wonder she was a tad weird.

gidget: my travel blog would be a million times better than Jessica's. I would also have better photos, and show pictures of all the cute boys. Let's go travel should hire me. damn, i am not a c-list celebrity. they should still hire me. i still love jessica!

Sing It Baby!
gidget: Prince is going to be the performer for the Superbowl Halftime show. Check out this ad! It is going to be AMAZING 'cause Prince always is.

I heart Prince!

Hollah!

Jem: This is a special shout-out version of the blog for Scotty! I saw Scott for the first time in three years over the Christmas holidays and he promised that he would check out our blog. I hope he likes it because his blog is a shining beacon of greatness to which I compare all blogs!

Check out Scott's blog...it's all about his world travels and his work with children...and all the cute boys he meets along the way.

http://s2hworldtour.blogspot.com/

gidget: Muchos love for the blog. I started to read it, and now i am super duper excited about going to prague! Cute boys are cute!

What the H-E-double hockey sticks?

Jem: Ok, so, Gidget called me the other day and told me about a comment that had been posted on our blog. She said it was about phone sex. So, today I checked it out.

What the eff? Some person said that we can submit articles to him/her about phone sex. Why would someone say that to us? Our blog is about celebrity gossip and cute boys. There is absolutely nothing sexual about it.

So, one of the following things has occurred:

A) the person writing us doesn't fully grasp the English language and a huge miscommunication has happened;

B) the person writing us thinks Gidget and myself are 14 year old girls and is a huge pervert; or,

C) both A and B.

My money's on C.

Why, oh why, would some random person just post a comment on our blog inviting us to provide articles about phone sex? I seriously doubt this person writes for a reputable publication...

Gwen's New Look
gidget: I am not sure how i feel about Gwen's new look. Too much gold for my taste. I do like how she likes to play dress-up though. It's fun. Wind It Up is a fun song, but the video is weak. It does not catch my attention and hold it the way 'What You Waiting for?' did. That video was amazing. I am very curious about the album. Is going to sound like leftovers from LoveAngelMusicBaby, or is going to sound fresh? One thing I know for sure is that i miss No Doubt. Supposedly Gwen has mentioned that she wants to work with No doubt again (ofcourse after everything else in her very busy schedule). That's One busy woman! Oh, and sounds like there will be another world tour to look forward to. This time i do not want to miss seeing her live. I still regret never seeing No Doubt live.

Friday, November 03, 2006

gidget: Okay, i know this is in the total gossip, could be completely false, category but Ivanka Trump and Topher Grace might be hooking up!!!! They were seen at some Halloween shindig and supposedly shared a kiss, and left holding hands. Okay, that is just crazy! What a freakin' weird couple that would be. Or maybe not. Topher seems like the type that would go for high maitenance women. I am just surprised that he would go for someone so recognizable. I always pictured him more with the tv show groupie types. Ivanka is hilarious. Remember when she said that her daddy didn't give her her nice apartment, she worked for it. Yeah, at her nice cushy job at Trump Industries, and lives in a Trump tower. I'm sure her dad had nothing to do with her getting such a well paid job. No, nothing at all. Ofcourse this could all be made-up, fake gossip and Topher really is spending time with tv show groupies, and Ivanka is working very hard at her job at Trump.

gidget: I heart Kylie! I think her new calendar looks great! I am so happy that she is healthy, happy and looks amazing. I love the eye make-up she is sporting on the cover of her 2007 calendar. I wish she would go on tour in North America. I bet her tour in England and Australia is going to be amazing. Body Language was such a good album. Her music is so fun and great to dance to.

Jem: I went to the NARS make-up counter for a make-over about a year ago and this is how the girl did my eyes. I love them on Kylie but I didn't love them on me. I am super happy that Kylie is okay and back on the scene because she is super-wonderful. The only way she could be better is for her to come to Canada!

gidget: Lol! That's funny that your makeover had your eyes like Kylie's. Funny 'cause i love the eye make-up for a photo, or going out and just having fun. It would look a little too dramatic for just walking around in the afternoon. Make-up is funny that way.

Is it Crazy that I found Tori Spelling entertaining?

Jem: So, last night, I was watching Tori Spelling's show, So NoTORIous, on tv last night, and I have to admit, I found it slightly hilarious. I have never been a big Tori fan...but I love, love, love 90210 and Donna Martin will always have a place in my heart.

I think it's great when celebs make fun of themselves. And, even if it is a cartoonish view of what life was like for little Tori, it's still outrageous and so far from my up-bringing that I find it wildly entertaining!

That's it, that's all!

Gidget: Shut the heck up! I was watching that show last night too. I thought show was ridiculous, but in such a good way. funny. i love how tori can't act, but tries so hard. Somehow it just works.

Chris Carpenter is soooo dreamy!

Jem: In honour of Chris Carpenter, I am posting this blog in Cardinal red. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a tried and true, pure orange and blue, Tigers fan until I die. But, I was watching the Cards beat out the Padres the other day with Gidget and I couldn't keep my eyes of that Cutie McCute pitcher, number 29, Chris Carpenter.

This is Chris at work. The picture is small but notice his concentration and glorious forearms.

This is a picture of Chris' cute, little face. He just looks so sweet...

Alas, he is married, and is, therefore, ineligible for celebrity husband status.

I read that his son's name is Sam. That is, quite possibly the cutest boy's name...except for maybe, Elliot.

I guess my point is that I think he's cute!

The Beautiful Boys of summer...and, now, Fall!

Well, things are definitely looking good for my team, my boys, the Detroit Tigers! I mean after 19 years of being shut-out from the play-offs, we're going home and we're up two games. We're in it to win it!! I have loved this team my entire life; and now, I know why!!!

But I'm not here to bore you with stats about how great these guys are...I mean, you have the internet...look it up if you want to know! I'm here to talk about how cute baseball players are...and for more than just their looks! If you've ever met the Gidge or myself, then you know that she and I are crazy about men in uniform...policemen, firemen, navy, army, doctor...you name it, we love it...but, the baseball uniform is one of our faves. Those tight, tapered pants aren't necessarily the most stylish things going but, there's something about them that can make a 30 year old man look like a little boy all over again. There's something youthful and vulnerable about them...and the baseball caps are just too cute.

There are some of you out there who would scoff at Gidget and me; saying "They're athletes, and should be regarded as such. They aren't there for your viewing pleasure!" To which I reply "Women's Volleyball people!!! At least the boys I'm oogling wear clothes!"

Here are some things I've noticed, while watching the Tigers kick butt!

Detroit is a high-five team! I totally love this about this ball club; after every great play, every run, every member of the team gives and receives a high-five. It's so boy-ish and it shows an amazing amount of team spirit and camaraderie. Good sportsmanship is hot! It's also hot when players get a little pissed off...but it's hotter when they're nice, and love to play the game.

This is Craig Monroe. He is cute!! And he's an awesome player!

This is Jaime Walker. He is a pitcher...a closer, actually. That means he can handle the pressure of having to win a ball game. He is so cute and very tall. I especially like him because he looks like, and reminds me of, a boy I had a crush on in high school. Coincidentally, he was also named Jaime!

Another Reason to LOVE Prince!
Prince was performing at an Emmy's afterparty and made a comment about Justin T's claims of bringing sexyback. While Prince was performing he yelled out

"For whoever is claiming that they are bringing sexy back, sexy never left!"
Damn straight! I thought the exact same thing when the song came out. Don't get me wrong, the song is fun to dance to. But Justin is not super sexy. He may be cute, but he ain't sexy. He does not come close to the sexual energy of a man like Prince. Justin's music isn't even close to sexy. If Justin thinks that mentioning he'll let you whip him when he misbehaves is sexy he has a lot to learn. That's goofy teenage sexy compare to Prince's all out sexy music.

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, Oh my freakin' goodness!
gidget: Rumour has it that Madonna may play the lead in the film version of 'Mama Mia'. OMG! That would be the most amazing, fabulous, makes-me-so happy, thing ever. Madonna, singing ABBA songs. i can not handle the pop-heaven that creates for me! i realize that this is just a rumour, and Madonna claimed to be retiring from the acting circuit, but this would just be too good. Oh please, please, please, let this rumour become reality. So so so so good.
One Song For You
gidget: So, it's the end. I didn't get to see the last show. And now that August is almost at an end, i feel sad.
From What i've read, the final show was amazing.
I suppose it is slightly selfish to want a band to stay together forver, when they want to move on to other things.
It's amazing how a band was able to make every album so solid. And their last album was remarkable.
I was so excited. Where would the next album take us fans?
They had the energy of a 'new' band, with the experience and talent of veterans.
I will sure miss waiting for the next album to come out. Marking the day on my calendar and running to the record store the morning of the release.
When i heard they were going on an 'indefinite hiatus' i felt like it was an end of an era, even though that is a super cheesy thing to think.
i also felt old.
I read that Eddie V. performed two songs before the bands last set. he mentioned how wished he'd been around to see the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix and the Sex Pistols but that he was thankful to have been around to see Sleater-Kinney. I think most fans feel the same.
I love you s-k. Your songs have never stopped inspiring and challenging me.
my heart breaks a little today.

Robbie is so cute!

gidget: here is a quote of Robbie Williams discussing how much he fancies Madonna.

'British singer Robbie Williams is afraid he will remain single forever, because no girl can ever live up to his ideal woman - Madonna. The Feel singer admits he is jealous of the Material girl's film-maker husband Guy Ritchie. He says, 'I've been in bed with somebody that I'm having a very romantic mini-break with, a couple of weeks relationship with, and then I watch the late shows in America and there will be a girl on there I'd rather be with. Madonna is the ultimate in our day and age of the grass being greenest. Guy Ritchie is a lucky man. I do happen to fancy Madonna. She rehearses her a**e off. Goes to the gym every day. She does all that stuff to get it spot-on and then she delivers. I'm in awe of her drive.'

I persoanlly can not wait to hear the song Robbie penned about Madonna. Not only is the song called 'She's Madonna', but he worked with The Pet Shop Boys on it. I bet Robbie Williams would be amazing to see in concert! Guy Ritchie is a lucky man, but he is also very adorable.

Countdown To Snakes On A Plane!
gidget: okay, i am getting excited for Snakes On A Plane. So excited i think i will go on Friday night. Yeah, it will be busy, but that is part of the fun. Plus, Samuel L. Jackson said he would kick my a** if i didn't go to the movie.
I must say i am little behind on the celebrity gossip lately. Everything seems a little dull in la-la land right now.

Scary mothereffer

gidget: So last night i had a bad dream. I dreamt that i was staying in some hotel and i suddenly noticed snakes under a chair in the lobby. I freaked out and asked the hotel staff why their were snakes in their hotel. I was then told they were snakes from "Snakes on a Plane" and they were staying there for the next couple days. I was terrified and screamed at the staff saying that they should have informed it's customers of the loose snakes. Then i was attempting to leave, and could not find a way out, and more and more snakes were appearing. It was horrible, and i woke up. I do not think i can even see 'Snakes on a Plane' . I am getting chills down my spine just thinking of all the snakes. oh god.

Jem: Ew. Oh God, Gidget...that is, quite possibly, the scariest dream I've ever heard of!!! I hate snakes!!!

gidget: Seriously! The concept of the movie (although, i do see the humour in it) is terrifying. Snakes......on......a....Plane! i can't handle the idea of it. i hope i never accidently see a preview of it, i will have to close my eyes, and hold my hands over my face till the serpents are off the screen.

Jem: Thanks for the comments, Bernie! "Circle of Friends" is one of my favourite movies. It's so sweet and sort of heartbreaking. Ah, back in the day when Chris O'Donnell was trying to be a big star. Don't get me wrong, he's a star...just not a big one.

Josh Jackson is a good choice for a celeb hubby. He is so yummy! I can't believe he dated Katie Holmes in real life. They seem like an odd match.

You know who else is cute? Chris Klein. He seems like a nice guy...and Katie Holmes was engaged to him. Why did she pick Tom Cruise over him? There are things I'll never know, I guess.

Jem: So, Gidget and I went to see Superman Returns with our super cutie-cutie friend, Miss M. I thought the movie Supersucked!!! There was almost no action, Kate Bosworth sucks as Lois Lane (absolutely NO moxie), and, it turns out, Superman is a deadbeat dad!

I was over it before the whole thing even started...and edit, people!!! Not every movie needs to be as long as childbirth...or as painful as the one last night was.

Ok, that's all I have to say about that right now.

gidget: i was not too impressed either. Like, there was no action. At least no good action. Oh, and Kate Bosawahatever, a paperdoll has more charisma. But i don't think Superman is a deadbeat dad. The summer movies have been a bit of a let down this year, but i still have movies to see. i could not believe how bored i was during Superman. If i had been at home, i would have fallen asleep. Or, shut it off to watch a Friends rerun i have seen 15 times, 'cause it would have be more entertaining. kinda sad.
gidget: Okay, so one of my new fav. things is to check my Top 25 played on my ipod every week or so to see how it has changed. So Jem, my question to you is what is on your Top 25 right now?

Jem: Gee, Gidget, I'm surprised you'd ask me this question...you know how personal a girl's iPod is. And by personal, I mean embarrassingly uncool...

But, in the interest of this iPod and knowing that I won't know anyone reading this here is my Top 25...

1. Wonderwall - Oasis
2. Electrical Storm - U2 (I do love this one)
3. Going Under - Evanescense (I know...but they kept playing that Tristan & Isolde trailer and it got stuck in my head)
4. This Year's Love - David Gray
5. In the Waiting Line - Zero 7
6. Keep on Loving you - REO Speedwagon
7. Lola Stars & Stripes - The Stills
8. Pour Some Sugar on Me - Def Leppard
9. Break the Night with Colour - Richard Ashcroft
10. Try - Nelly Furtado
11. Wake Up - Arcade Fire
12. I'm so Excited - Le Tigre
13. Fall Behind Me - The Donnas
14. The Reason - Hoobastank
15. Still in Love Song - The Stills
16. Any Way you Want it - Journey
17. I want it that way - Backstreet Boys
18. Incomplete - Backstreet Boys

21. Beautiful Day - U2
22. Dakota - Stereophonics
23. Unconditional - The Bravery
24. What you waiting for - Gwen Stefani
25. Such Great Heights - The Postal Service

Wow! I'm surprised that there isn't any Madonna on that list...or the new Nelly Furtado album...I feel like that's all I listen to these days. I can't remember the last time I listened to that Donnas song. And, yeah, there are 3 Stills songs on there because I had the best time at their concert a few months ago...

Ok, that was fun and virtually painless. What's on your list, Gidget???

gidget: Well, you have to remember that stuff that has been in your music library for a long time is most likely to be on your Top 25 most played. And yes, a girls music collection is a private matter, but it is still fun to see what the most played music within that collection is! Here's mine:

2. Summer Dock - jjh
3. Ray of Light - Madonna
4. Music Is The Victim - Scissor Sisters

23.Bachelorette - Bjork
24. A Question of Time - Depeche Mode
25. Vogue - Madonna!

There you go. That is the list for today, the morning of August 25. It's funny to look at.

gidget: So, last night i was playing softball and out of nowhere i got janet jackson's song 'IF' stuck in my head. Then i started to think about how good that video is. janet looks so amazing in it, and the dancing, oh the dancing. Especially when the song has the break, what an incredible dance break/sequence.

Jem: Remember when we saw Janet? That was the best!!! She was amazing live. "IF" is an amazing song...but I still love "Rope Burn" the best. And what she did to that guy during the concert...racy!!!

Isn't it funny when songs get stuck in your head out of nowhere?

So here's a tiny, insignificant bit of news that popped on to my radar this morning...Avril and Derek got married this weekend. I honestly thought they would break up before they got to the altar. I couldn't care less about this but I will be watching ET Canada tonight to see her dress. (I'm all about the dress). The wedding sounds like it was pretty classy...but don't you think 21 is a bit too young to get married?

gidget: yes, i did hear about Avril's nuptials. The dress is more fancy than i would have suspected Avril to wear. It is a Vera Wang gown (at least that is what i have heard), and she carried a bouquet of white roses. Also, i heard that Deryck and Avril's first song/dance was The Goo Goo Dolls 'Iris'. Ewww! What a wicked bad first song. I can not even imagine being married at 21. I wouldn't want to be chained down like that now, nevermind at 21! Not that i have a very intersting life, but still, 21. I guess if you are old enought to hold your liquor in the States, you are old enough to keep a man.

Jem: Ok, Gidget, I know we've talked about this before but now I'm putting it out there into the world via our blog...why are American guys so cute? And why are they more accepting of normal-sized girls? Canadian guys are all about the Barbies out there. They like skinny, blonde girls...even if they have nothing in common. Maybe they watched too many Corey Haim movies when they were kids.

I just feel more attractive and more accepted by guys in the US. It's like they understand that women come in all shapes and sizes and they like it that way.

Ok, ok, I know I'm generalizing and, if you're a guy reading this, you're probably shaking your head saying "Not me, I'm not like that at all"...and maybe you're not. But you know what? You most likely ARE like that. Think about it.

Feel free to post your comments...Gidget and I will gladly respond to anything you have to say.

Gidget: I have no idea why Amreican boys are so cute? perhaps it is the cute accent (according to what part of the country they are from).

Gidget: New H & M ads featuring Madonna are AMAZING! I love the new tracksuit. I can not wait till they are available for purchase. I think i heart Cloud.
